Things to look forward to...
Hajj- We will be re-enacting the Holy Pilgrimage of Hajj! This will consist of the students building their own Ka'bah, along with the cities of Arafat, Mina, Muzdalifah, and stoning of the Jamarats. They will also be strictly following the many rituals of Hajj!
Expectations of Student -Be respectful of yourself and your peers. -Make sure to do your homework on time. -Be on time to class. -Always try your hardest and be encouraging. -Be responsible. -Participate
Expectations of Parents
-Be engaged with the Sunday School program
and your child's education.
-Instill a respectful attitude in your children.
-Work TOGETHER with child to ensure homework
is completed routinely.
-Bring child to class on time and express
the importance of attendance.
-Be encouraging.
-Participate
Expectations of Teacher
-Instill a respectful attitude in students
along with a lifetime long passion for learning.
-Teach students critical thinking skills;
especially in terms of religion.
-Provide a student-centered learning environment.
-Be encouraging, responsible, and available.
Classroom Objectives
-Students will be able to recite each prayer with meaning accurately.
-Students will read and discuss the translation of the Quran. -Students will learn about the life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H). -Students will learn about the multiple Prophets (p.b.u.T) in Islam along with a basic lineage. -Students will learn, know, and analyze details for each of the five pillars of Islam. -Students will learn Islamic etiquette and manners. -Students will adapt critical thinking skills in order to function as strong and confident individuals and Muslims.
